What are the main points of attention when using the power connector

The power connector is generally composed of a plug and a socket. The plug is also called a free-end connector, and the socket is also called a fixed connector. The connection and disconnection of the circuit is realized by plugs, sockets and plugs, so various plugs and sockets are connected.
1. Termination
1) When the power connector is terminated, it shall be terminated and checked strictly in accordance with the corresponding terminal specifications or requirements, and shall be terminated according to the corresponding contact number. The thickness of the maximum insulation layer between the cable and the wire should match the distance between the contacts, and the cable core should match the contact ends of the contacts. When the cable is crossed and parallel between the contacts, the diameter of the multi-stranded core wire should be considered, and the cross and parallel wires should be prohibited between the contact and the pressure hole;
2) When soldering, select the corresponding soldering iron power according to the diameter of the bare wire. The welding time for each contact is once.
If the magnetic flux does not exceed 5s, you should not pay attention that the magnetic flux does not penetrate the insulator, so as not to reduce the insulation resistance of the product.
3) When cleaning the power connector (including contacts), you can use a silk cloth soaked in absolute ethanol and use it after drying. Chemical solvents such as acetone that adversely affect the power connector are not allowed;
4) When the power connector is in a non-pluggable state, the matching protective cover should be separately covered or other dust-proof measures should be taken.
2. Check before plugging
1) The model, code number, insertion position and direction of the power connector should meet the requirements of the design and process documents;
2) The tail cover is not loose, and the tie mouth is not falling off;
3) The cable bundle or wire of the hood is not bent, and the outer skin is not damaged;
4) The shielding skin grounding wire is not broken, and the shell welding piece is not loose;
5) The fasteners must not have deformation, cracks, thread wear, looseness and defects, and the power connector shell and interface must not have the coating peeling off.
6) The locking device should be intact and undamaged;
7) For power joints with sealing rings, the sealing rings should be intact;
8) The interface (surface of the insulator, socket) is not allowed to have redundancy.
9) The pins and sockets should not be skewed or deformed;
10) The surface of the insulator at the pin root should not have broken, protruding or falling metal chips;
11) The pins and sockets should not be significantly retracted or protruded. Compared with ordinary pins and sockets on the same plane, the distance of pulling out or extending is generally not more than 0.5mm, otherwise, check whether the pins and sockets are assembled in place or retracted.
Three, plug operation
(1) Before inserting, confirm whether the plug and socket code is inserted, the "shape" of the interface, the "locating key and slot", "locating color standard", "locking pin and slot", "locating screw and screw hole" on the interface "Whether it is consistent and accurate;
2) When pushing or screwing in the power connector, align the plug and the socket interface in parallel, straighten the cable or wire, and then gently push or slowly screw into the lock sleeve and lock it in the axial direction. If it is found that the two mating surfaces are inclined, positioning is not allowed, and the hand feel is tighter than normal force or obstacles or other abnormal feelings, the operation should be stopped, and the condition should be checked in the axial direction, and the plug should be re-inserted after troubleshooting. Allows the use of special auxiliary tools for interpolation;
3) When the tail cover of the plug or socket is tightened, the outlet cable or wire of the tail cover cannot be rotated;
4) When blind mating, it is recommended to use lighting and visual functional equipment (such as miniature cameras or endoscopes, monitors) to monitor the blind mating process. In the absence of light and monitoring equipment, perform a blind insertion operation, touch the corresponding characteristics of the interface to be inserted with your finger, and then put the plug in place and lock it.
5) During the locking operation, if it occurs or is found to be unable to lock normally, it should be pulled out and checked in time. After checking, insert the lock as required.
6) For the power connector of the thick and hard cable, the cable should be fixed to prevent the cable from sagging, and the power connector cannot be pulled or damaged;
7) After the power plug is inserted and locked, the outlet cable of the tail cover should be kept in a natural stretched state. The starting part of the cable bending should generally be more than 30 mm from the outlet of the tail cover. Unless otherwise specified, the inner bending radius of the cable should not be less than 4 times the outer diameter of the cable when bending;
8) When plugging and unplugging the power connector, you should grasp the main body to plug and unplug. It is not allowed to grasp the cables or wires outside the tail cover for operation.
Four, test
1) In the test of cables or electronic equipment, the probe should meet the requirements, and it is strictly forbidden to use meter pens or copper wires to prevent the jack of the power connector from being pierced or damaging the inner wall or touching the pin skewed;
2) Before connecting the power connector between the test cable and the electronic device, first check the power connector (plug and socket) on the test cable. Do not connect any contour damage, pin corrosion, pin deformation, pin deformation, dust pollution, wire breakage, or shielding skin breakage.
3) After the power connection is interrupted for not less than 3 minutes, the plug operation of the power connector during the test should be carried out, and hot plugging is prohibited;
4) After the model and product electrical performance test is completed, if the power connector has not been separated for a long time, the power connector should be insured according to the requirements of the design and process documents. The locking device of the power connector must not be loosened after the power connector is insured.
Five, storage
The power connector should be stored at -10 to +40°C, the relative humidity does not exceed 80%, and the environment is free of acids, alkalis and other corrosive gases.
